Pat Dixon has remained committed to Libertarian principles:

There are those that will claim to be pure libertarians, but will wilt when pressured. When the city council of Lago Vista voted to grant a corporate welfare tax subsidy to Super S Foods, I cast the lone dissenting vote. The newspapers can lampoon me with cartoons, but they will not deter my commitment to Libertarian principles.

During my tenure as Libertarian Party of Texas state chair, Lago Vista city councilman, and LNC at large member, I have remained committed to the principles of our party. The best examples of this commitment are:

• Challenging Neal Boortz's support of the Iraq war on his show in the fall of 2004
• My record during 4 years of service on Lago Vista city council
